US soldiers from the 1st A.D., Special forces and Iraqi Special forces pack weapons into a pile in the mosque which housed a massive cache. They were blown up later by an F-16 which was called din to destroy them.
The weapons belonged to the Mahdi army, or Muqtada Sadr's militia, who have controlled many cities in Southern Iraq for the past month until the coalition forces mounted this operation, code-named Iron Saber.
