Islamic History of Europe

To start with, there are mosques that were converted into Churches in Cordoba and in Seville. So your Google search was not worth of reporting.
The Islamic rule of Spain was foreign as most of its remains were dismantled following the expuslsion of the Muslims and their allies, the Jews, which lasted for close to 700 years.
In retaliation for the above expulsion of Muslims and Jews, no Christian was allowed to worship freely in North Africa, west of Egypt.
Similarly, Christianity was the religion of the European imperialists, the British, the French, the Italian, the Dutch and the Belgians. In many places, the churches were converted into mosques following the expulsion of the imperalists.
