ERBIL - Hours before the Turkish Energy Minister was to give a speech at an energy conference in Iraqi Kurdistan Tuesday, Iraq's central government cancelled his flight's permission to land, according to government documents and officials.
By refusing entry to Taner Yildiz , Baghdad asserted its sovereignty and emphasized its displeasure with Ankara over its growing alliance with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
