Mandokhails have many sub-tribes and are the dominant tribe of district Zhob. The tribe has provided great contributions to the civil services of Baluchistan and Pakistan. They have served on many key assignments with in the province Baluchistan. They belong to Ghorgasht (Gharghakht) son of Qais Abdur Rashid and have remained active warriors against British and Mughals rules. They Primarily fought and Captured the Zhob area from Mughals. A Bollywood film named Palay Khan is attributed to this tribe on their struggle against the British rule. They are mentioned in the colonial history by Elphinstone in his "kingdom of Caubul" in 1909. After that, many British writers such as H. W. Bellew and Major Raverty have extensively written on them. The Gazetteer of District Zhob gives a detail account of Mandokhail. He holds the portfolio of chairman of Senate Standing Committee on environment. Beside this he is also a member of following standing committees, Committee on Water & Power Committee on Communication Committee on Labour & Manpower Committee on Housing and Works Born on 19th February 1962 in Zhob, Engr Humayun Khan Mandokhail comes from a highly respected family. His grand father Sheikh Mirak Khan was a member of the grand Mandokhail Jirga of Baluchistan. Which decided to join Pakistan at the time of partition and was also member of Muslim League. His father Saadullah Khan Mandokhail was in MSF (Muslim Student Federation)at that time. Later on he joined Pakistan Muslim League (Khan Qayum Group) Engr. Muhammad Humayun Khan Mandokhail did ‘ O’ Level from Francis Grammar School Quetta in 1979 and then F.Sc from government science collage Quetta. He did Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in 1988. He also did post graduate diploma in management from PIM(Pakistan Institute of Management) in 1999-2000
