BLAST INSIDE ARMY RECRUITMENT CENTRE IN NORTHWEST PAKISTAN, SEVE

At least 15 people have been killed and over 20 others injured in a bomb blast inside an army recruitment center in northwest Pakistan.


The explosion rocked the military base in the northwestern Pakistani town of Mardan in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province early Thursday, a Press TV correspondent reported.

A rescue team has been dispatched to help the injured.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (Reuters) - A suicide bombing at an army recruitment centre in northwest Pakistan on Thursday killed at least 10 people, said a police official.

Residents said the bomber struck while recruits were conducting morning training in the town of Mardan.

Suicide bomber in school uniform targeted a military parade at the Punjab regiment centre, several soldiers killed.
MARDAN:

A suicide attack targeting a military parade on Thursday killed at least 27 people in Mardan, according to DPO Zeeshan Haider.

Express 24/7 correspondent Iftikhar Firdous reported that the suicide bomber is believed to be a 14-year-old boy who was wearing a uniform of the Aziz Bhatti School.

Most of those killed were soldiers. At least 40 other people were critically injured in the blast confirmed Haider.

Two military officials in Peshawar confirmed that the blast took place in a military parade saying “several soldiers have been killed and several other injured”.

State television reported that the explosion took place inside the Punjab regiment centre.

As many as 20 security personnel were killed and 40 were injured in Mardan blast. The explosion took place in Mardan Cantonment, Dunya news reported on Thursday.


As per details, an explosion occurred in Punjab Regiment, in which 20 security officials were killed while 40 were injured. The blast was occurred during a military parade. The blast was so powerful that it shattered the windowpanes of the cantonment areas’ buildings. According to the sources the blast was suicide. Emergency has been declared in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and injured persons have been shifted to the hospital. Police have cordon of the area.
