My eyes caught a billboard ad in which they appeal for donation to save lives and at the bottom was written a tag “Dr Adeeb Rizvi and Team”. Who Is Dr Adeeb Rizvi?

This man really has an amazing personality. He turned despair into a real living hope. He challenged established social notion that good and effective organization are impossible in today’s chaotic Pakistani society, espacialially in public sector. Dr Adeeb Rizvi is a beacon of hope and a role model for leadership. Yes he was a member of our society and got education from same institution where hundred of thousands also pass out with same degree every year.

Instead of blaming and cry for unavailability of resources, he came forward with a unique mission to established a medical facility to treat patients of a diseases which has the most expensive treatment in the world free of cost. First he started dreaming and resources and cooperation followed. Most leaders wait for resources to do some missionary task. Ultimately they never able to materialized their dreams. Resources followed the mission. This notion is now a reality in case of Sind Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). SIUT providing thousands of kidney patients free of cost world class quality treatment in the leadership of Dr Adeeb Rizvi. SIUT is a symbol of pride for Pakistani nation, where a system of dealing patients with respect dignity, without discriminations of cost creed and religion and status make it hope for poor and needy people. Dr Rizvi’s team in his able leadership proved that world class organization can be established in Pakistan if someone has courage to take risk, has mission in life and can translates his dream into concrete practical actions.

He took the risk to establish this facility and got people trust to sustain. People trust role models not power. Actions make strong relationship between leaders and followers. They always in search of those leaders who can make difference in the lives of ordinary people.

Dr Adeeb Rizvi turned his character in to trustworthy relationship, his competencies into well organized system of delivery quality treatment and his caring into a mission to save lives.

Imagine if we can connect hundred of thousand our students and youth with Dr Rizvi and share insight of his leadership achievement, believe me we can inspire thousands of youngsters to become our nest Dr Adeeb Rizvi. Our nation desperately needs such visionary and charismatic leaders. School and other educational institution should come forward and provide opportunities to connect their students with such legend and broaden their vision of life. Our youth need these leaders to follow and ready to play their role in the betterment of society. Who will be the first connector?…………
