Barclays chief refuses 2013 bonus

with funding so tight at present there is no way that Murray and co can agree to a cash bonus like last year. It's that simple. Based on numbers out there, there isn't enough cash to see GKP past June 2014. In fact - I think the remuneration committee should seriously start looking at cash saving measures and that includes salary CUTS. After all - GKP is moving to a much more cash sensitive company now and as TK says - it's a company that is in transition from explorer to developer. Hence perfect time to realign those bonus plans to production targets and cash flows eh? I say bonuses are acceptable once they turn cash flow positive and self funded. After all - that's what we've been told the goal is for the last 2 years. Sound fair? HUB ================== Maybe for as long as it takes for TK worshippers to recognise that he is enriching himself, and enjoying the benefits of a such extrvagances as a private yacht, on yours and my money. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may well be aware the TK comes from a very wealthy oil family and was a multimillionaire many times over even before his escapades with GKP. Those who preach, that is what irks many on this board, we all know the facts as they are, some CHOOSE to live with them, doesn't make us blinkered, but we accept them as they are and not moan about it all day long, repetitively to the point where posters and the posts are just plain annoying. You can't play the game then complain about the rules, when you knew what they were beforehand. Write to the board - make your concerns know to them, to the M&G ned's (that some of you vociferously championed - yet to see any result of that) or live with the risks of investing in GKP, and if you perceive TK to be one then that as well, otherwise you should all sell, as it is clear this investment is causing many of you too much emotional heartache than you can handle. Bonobo whilst admirably questioned TK in Paris which I witnessed, has made this point too many times to even count anymore, I certainly got his point the first time as I am sure many others did. . You'll notice the DOW has dropped 1000 points in the last two weeks, you will also notice that GKP always follows it down but never up. Have alook at the XEL SP and compare it to GKP, the chart almost follows the exact same pattern, XEL is in the North Sea, zero political risk, Directors that are apparently perceived well by the market, why then is their SP in the doldrums and their oil currently valued at less than $2/barrel. =========
